ECLC exists primarily to provide Early Years and Primary Education for children of the international community in Seoul, Korea. ECLC includes foreign children of all races and creeds. In order to enter ECLC, children must be at least 2 1/2 years old and toilet trained. Children still wearing diapers or trainer pants of any sort will not be accepted.
ECLC maintains a rolling enrolment policy during the entire year. Children may enrol, in accordance to their age and subject to class availability, any time throughout the school year.
To be eligible for enrolment, a child must hold:
* A foreign passport and Certificate of Alien Registration, or
* Diplomatic status or
* SOFA status or its equivalent
The priorities for consideration for enrolment at ECLC are as follows:
1st Priority: Returning Students
2nd Priority: Siblings of students attending the school, if they meet the criteria under Priority 3
3rd Priority: Children with each parent holding; (a) a foreign passport and Certificate of Alien Registration or; (b) Diplomatic status or; (c) SOFA status or its equivalent
4th Priority: Siblings of students attending the school, if they meet the criteria under Priority 5
5th Priority: Children with one parent holding a foreign passport and Certificate of Alien Registration
6th Priority: Siblings of students attending the school, if they meet the criteria under Priority 7
7th Priority: Children holding a foreign passport, both of whose parents hold Korean passports. (This is aimed at children who may spend most of their lives growing up overseas, being educated in English, but whose parents have not obtained foreign passports.) The children should be fluent in English.
Age Requirements:
Toddler Class: Children whose 3rd birthday falls between Aug. 31, 2006 and Sept. 1, 2007, with a minimum age of 2 1/2. Child must be two and a half (2 1/2) upon entering ECLC.
Preschool Class: Children whose 4th birthday falls between August 31, 2006 and Sept. 1, 2007
K1 Class: Children whose 5th birthday falls between August 31, 2006 and Sept. 1, 2007
K2 Class: Children whose 6th birthday falls between August 31, 2006 and Sept. 1, 2007
Primary 1 Class: Children whose 7th birthday falls between Aug. 31, 2006 and Sept. 1, 2007

Toilet Training
All children are accepted at ECLC on the condition that they are fully toilet trained. Diapers may not be worn at school and children should be able to take themselves to the toilet and take care of their own needs. If a child clearly shows signs of no being toilet trained (frequent wetting of clothes, unable to recognise when they need to go to the toilet etc), the parents will be asked to keep their child at home until they are fully toilet trained.

Please note that the half-year payment option is only available to students enrolling in August. Students that enroll in January do not qualify for the half year payment option and are subject to our late entry payment policy.
A one time Non Refundable Registration Fee of W300,000 is due at the time of initial application. Your child's application will not be considered until proof of payment of this fee is received.

Non-bus students may ride the bus if their pick-up/drop-off point is on a bus route, space permitting. The one-time usage fee will be charged. Please check with the Office 24 hours in advance to ensure that service is available.
Bus refunds are granted in accordance with the Tuition Refund Policy Schedule.
