ECLC encourages parents to be actively involved in the school. Don't be modest! As a parent-run organization, what happens at and with the school depends upon the contributions of each parent. The school sponsors several volunteer programs:
* Room Parents: Each class has one room parent, who works with the classroom teachers in organization of special class events and field trips throughput the school year.
* Busy Bees: These volunteers assist with the preparation of classroom art materials and decorations for the school.
* Library Volunteers: These parents aid in maintaining the library. They work with the children in choosing the books that they take home weekly.
You can also become directly involved in the management of the school. ECLC is advised and run by a Board of parent volunteers. The six-member School Board is elected from the parents of the ECLC students and serves for one-year terms.

Another way to become involved is through the ECLC Parent Teacher Association.

All ECLC parents are members of the PTA and we encourage everyone to participate! We aim to support our children's education and the school community through fundraisers, special events, and volunteer programs. We encourage every parent to become involved as much as possible-even if you have very little time, every little bit helps ECLC and our children. Please contact the PTA President if you have any questions about the PTA or what you can do to work with us.
The PTA Committee is made up of numerous volunteers. Some of the existing positions include President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Volunteer Coordinator, and After-School Activities Coordinator. The Committee is elected each spring for the forthcoming school year. Additionally, parents may volunteer through the year to help plan and coordinate the various PTA-sponsored activities.
The PTA's activities are varied, including events that range from an Ice Cream Social, Parent's Night Out, to sponsoring a Holiday Donation Tree - to collect gifts for donation to a local orphanage. The activities integrate involvement of the ECLC staff, students and parents.

Please come to a PTA meeting! The PTA meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 9:15 am. Find out what we are planning, or just come to meet other parents and talk about school programs and activities.
